POSITION PROFILE

This is a 2nd shift position (hours are 2:15pm - 10:15pm)

The Upholstered Goods Crafter works in multiple areas of the Seating Department. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability and willingness to read and interpret associated paperwork with all job functions, measuring devices, set-up and operates all air tools, electric and hand tools in a safe manner.

Required Experience

  • A high school education/GED is preferred

  • Upholstery/Assembly experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret applicable paperwork associated with all job functions

  • Ability to safely set-up and operate all tools, equipment, and fixtures used by an Upholstered Goods Crafter

  • Ability to read and interpret applicable measuring devices

  • Ability to inspect and wrap and pack applicable components, sub-assemblies under Knoll quality standards

  • Ability to occasionally make minor repairs or alter fixtures, under approval

  • Ability to trouble-shoot production problems and develop methods for improvement

  • Responsible for setting up and running available product without the need for supervision

  • Some heavy lifting required
